The Spielwarenmesse Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany is a famous event in the toy industry. Orlimex is always looking for exhibitions and events that take place and are connected to its sphere. Needless to say, we are eager to visit those.

In 2020, the Trade Fair was held from January 29th to February 2nd at the Nurnberg Messe. Major international brands, large chains, and start-ups have all used this event to showcase their latest products and inventions.

An astounding number of 70,000 exhibitors from 130 countries came to the event showing 80,000 products. The exhibitors were grouped into 12 product categories: wooden toys, toys made from natural materials, technical toys, games, multimedia, books, experiments, and others. The accompanying program included the Toy Business Forum, where visitors were able to expand their business network.

This was our first trip to Spielwarenmesse Toy Fair as part of Orliply Art. The goals were nothing but high: to see what is new in the market of plywood or wood producers, to track trends, get inspired, personally meet the brands we have heard so much about. Although the size of the exhibition might seem a bit overwhelming, the organizers managed to keep the atmosphere is very warm. People were friendly, interested and ready to jump in new partnerships and collaborations. The discussions with participating companies never became boring as every company offered a different story of their beginnings and product developments.

This Toys Fair is aimed at adults for obvious reasons. Nevertheless, everyone awoke the inner child just as they crossed the entrance. With so many interesting toys exhibited one just could not help themself but to come closer, admire the products, touch them, and see them become alive in their hands.
